In 1999, Alisa Wyatt left her high-powered publishing job to spread her passion for Pilates. A former dancer who discovered the method after a knee injury, she was classically trained by Romana Kryzanowska and continues to study with Romana as well as First Generation teachers Kathy Grant, Ron Fletcher and Jay Grimes. Alisa is a Gold-Certified member of the Pilates Method Alliance and a presenter for ECA World Fitness. She is an NYC Ambassador for Lululemon Athletica and the co-creator and presenter of Pilates for Men, a DVD geared toward athletes and civilians alike. Alisa trains her clients from her studio, Pilates on Hudson, and is a star instructor at Equinox Fitness Clubs in Manhattan. As a featured fitness expert, her recent on-camera and print interviews include TheStreet.com and Pilates Style (Jan 2008). She is excited about the volunteer program she launched in the Bronx, teaching Pilates to students at JFK High School. She hopes their story will draw more Pilates teachers to the PMA's burgeoning Pilates in the Schools program. Learn more about it at her website: www.alisawyatt.com Alisa grew up on a farm in San Diego County riding horses and playing in the ocean, then graduated with honors from UCLA. She and her photographer husband, Jack Coble, will be returning home to Hermosa Beach after 14 years on the East Coast where she learned to love the winters but nevertheless won't miss them at all. Alisa will begin teaching at Full Circle Pilates & Retreats on Monday, February 18th! For scheduling questions, please
